Walt Disney World has announced a brand-new retail space is coming to Epcot this summer — Creations Shop — as well as the return of a guest favorite.
Creations Shop will be the new flagship merchandise location for Epcot when it opens this summer, and will feature an open interior design with huge glass walls for plenty of natural light. Color, materials and light will be utilized in new ways with “some unique Epcot touches” that hearken back to the park’s past, while at the same time looking toward the future.
As shown in the concept rendering above, there will be a large Mickey Mouse mural along one of the shop’s walls that will show the Mouse as he’s never been seen before. Guests will find homages to Mickey throughout the shop, including large murals and new, completely original artist expressions that illustrate him as a true global icon. While not confirmed, we believe this new retail location will be housed in the former space for MouseGear.
Adjacent to the Creations Shop will be a returning shop Epcot fans know and love, Club Cool. The revitalized retail space, hosted by Coca-Cola, will also open this summer and celebrate the beverage in a new way — while keeping the iconic experience of exploring flavors from around the world. The space will also have some “new magic” to bring the global experience of Coca-Cola to life.
These new additions to the overall transformation of Epcot will make up part of World Celebration, a new neighborhood that consists of the entrance and center of the park. More details about this neighborhood will be shared soon.
