Disney Cruise Line has debuted new character looks for its Castaway Cay private island destination and a new signature song performed by Jordin Sparks for the Disney Treasure.
Castaway Cay Debuts New Character Looks
When Disney Cruise Line guests next visit Castaway Cay – Disney Cruise Line’s exclusive port in the Bahamas – they’ll find the same white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, but there’s also something new. Starting this weekend, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n Dale will be sporting all-new beach wear celebrating “the fun, colorful and natural environment of this tropical oasis – with some Disney Cruise Line flair, of course!”
The new swimwear worn by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse showcases the colors of Disney Cruise Line, with small print details on Mickey’s shirt honoring the first time he appeared on the water as Steamboat Willie and Minnie’s rainbow dress accessorized by cute sunglasses (complete with her signature bow) and a ship’s wheel on her ribbon belt.
Daisy Duck and Donald Duck are ready for a beach day, with the always-fashionable Daisy modeling a wrap dress, sunhat, and nautical accessories. Donald has his snorkel gear on and is ready to hit the water (he even has a few underwater friends hitching a ride on his floaties).
As always, Goofy is ready to play beach volleyball and racket ball, go fishing, or ride around the island in his colorful T-shirt, shorts, vest, and sun hat. Passengers may recognize Pluto’s new fish collar design outside their stateroom.Chip and Dale used materials they found around Castaway Cay to make homemade pirate costumes, fashioning floaties into sashes and beach towels into pirate hats.

Jordin Sparks Inspires Disney Cruise Line Guests to “Live the Adventure”
Award-winning singer-songwriter Jordin Sparks has recorded “Live the Adventure,” an anthem dedicated to Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure.
Celebrating the final stages of the ship’s construction as it prepares to set sail in December, “Live the Adventure” is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more, the first time Disney Cruise Line has released a signature song for one of its ships.
“I’ve been wanting to do something like this for so long,” Sparks said. “I’m very excited that [“Live the Adventure”] is going to be part of the Disney repertoire, and that it’s going to be an original with my vocals on it.”
The Disney Treasure will immerse passengers in Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel stories, plus debut experiences including Plaza de Coco (a brand-new theatrical dining experience themed to the Pixar film), Haunted Mansion Parlor (the first-ever bar inspired by the iconic attraction), and “Disney The Tale of Moana” (the world’s first stage adaptation of the animated movie).
According to Disney Cruise Line, the anthem written by Dewain Whitmore, Jr. and Chantry Johnson and produced by Brandon N. Caddell “embodies the unique theme of adventure that connects these heartwarming stories and experiences aboard the Disney Treasure, a motif inspired by Walt Disney’s legendary passion for travel and exploration.”
“Live the Adventure” also features musical nods to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Aladdin” (the theme of Disney Treasure’s Grand Hall) with “Agrabah-inspired sounds to capture the irresistible allure of embarking on a new adventure with family and friends.”
“The ability to work with Jordin Sparks is amazing,” said John Dennis, executive creative director of Walt Disney Imagineering. “She has been a terrific partner, and her vocal style is perfect for ‘Live the Adventure.'”
“I really like ‘Live the Adventure’ because it’s happy – it automatically makes you feel like it’s going to be a great day,” Sparks added. “It’s saying we can discover the treasure of what the day is going to bring.”
The original song is now available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and Deezer.
The Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure – the sister ship to the Disney Wish that launched in 2022 – will embark on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida, on Dec. 21, 2024, followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
