August is Family Fun Month, and Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating with free weekday admission for members of the U.S. military (active duty, retirees and veterans) and Florida-based first responders.

Tickets are now on sale for the thrills, chills and family frights of ZooBoo, Tampa’s largest family Halloween event, opening Sept. 27-28 with Shriek Peek Preview Weekend.
Over the past few months, Lowry Park Zoo has welcomed two newborns, a now 2-month-old female pygmy hippopotamus and a now 3-week-old male african elephant. Both are currently living in the Safari Africa section of the zoo and can be seen by guests daily.
Each holiday season, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo transforms into a Wild Wonderland. Guests can stroll through the Zoo in a different way, illuminated with holiday lights, sights and sounds on select nights in December.
