Pride Month 2024 events at Disney, Universal, Six Flags, and Busch Gardens parks

We surfed the ‘net through the websites of every theme park owned by Disney Experiences, Universal Destinations & Experiences, Six Flags Entertainment, United Parks & Resorts, and Cedar Fair. Below is a list of every official Pride Month 2024 special event in an American theme park we could find, plus one in Paris.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Pride isn’t just for June, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia will prove as much by celebrating Busch Gardens Pride Day on July 21, 2024. The event, included with park admission, will include performances by Jennifer Warner, Sabrina Laurence, Dana St. James, and local LGBTQIA+ bands. Guests can upgrade their park ticket to attend a Pride lunch for $30.

Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Park within Disneyland Paris will celebrate Pride on June 29, 2024 with Mickey and friends riding a parade float in Pride gear, among other unspecified festivities. These offerings will take place during the regular operating day, according to DLP Report, seemingly replacing previous years’ after-hours Magical Pride event at Walt Disney Studios Park next door.

Disneyland Resort

Following last year’s historic inaugural party, Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif. will once again host Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite on June 18 & 20, 2024. The after-hours event is sold out on both nights. If you already have your ticket, you can expect Pride fireworks, dance parties, character greetings, and a cavalcade.

Aside from Pride Night, new merchandise items in the Disney Pride Collection debuted in May. They’re available throughout all of Disneyland Resort, including Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District, as well as at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and online via Disney Store.

Also resort-wide throughout Disneyland, guests will find food commemorating Pride Month, such as a rainbow Mickey cookie.

Six Flags Great America

Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Ill. will kick off the month with its Pride Celebration on June 1-2, 2024. The festivities, occurring during the park’s operating day, include music, photo ops, and a parade, all in Hometown Square.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor San Antonio

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor San Antonio — the water park adjacent to Six Flags Fiesta Texas — will host an after-hours Pride party on June 15 & 22, 2024 with live music, exclusive food, and rides on the park’s water attractions.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia (near Atlanta) might just take the top prize for most Pride representation in a theme park this year. The park will commemorate its Pride Month Celebration the entire month, June 1-30, 2024, simultaneously with its first-ever Summer Vibes Festival.

The event will feature park-wide décor, photo ops, limited-time entertainment (a rainbow drumline!), and a merchandise collection benefitting local LGBTQIA+ organizations by donating 15% of proceeds.

Six Flags St. Louis

Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri will throw an after-hours party on June 1, 2024 with appearances by Divas of the Grove and DJ Mego.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort in Florida will again host a Pride nightclub throughout the month of June. Red Coconut Club at Universal CityWalk will transform into a Pride party every Thursday and Friday night with music, exclusive drinks, and photo-ops. There is no cover charge, though guests must be at least 21 years old to enter. Learn more in our story:

Throughout Universal Orlando, guests can find specialty food and drinks for Pride Month, including the Pride Smoothie at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen (in CityWalk), Rainbow Cookies at San Francisco Pastry Company (in Universal Studios Florida) and Croissant Moon Bakery (in Universal Islands of Adventure), and the Pride Sundae at Universal Volcano Bay. sells its Love Is Universal Collection year-round. That being said, Universal recently introduced new merchandise to the line, and announced that it will donate 100% of profits from Love Is Universal items purchased now through Aug. 31, 2024 to local LGBTQIA+ non-profit organizations.

The Love Is Universal Collection is available resort-wide not only at Universal Orlando, but also at Universal Studios Hollywood in California and in Universal’s online store.

Universal Studios Hollywood

In addition to spotlighting the aforementioned Love Is Universal Collection, Universal Studios Hollywood will partner with LA Pride and Let’s Party L|P to host Pride Is Universal, an after-hours party on June 15, 2024.

The event is open to all ages. An early-hours Kids Club will feature characters and live music. A late-night Pride Prom will be specially created for “guests of all ages who may have missed out on their own prom from not feeling safe or ‘out’ at the time,” says Let’s Party L|P. Pride Is Universal will also feature appearances by stars from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort in Florida joins its Disneyland sibling in selling new merchandise in the Disney Pride Collection. Additionally, guests can enjoy Pride Month food like a rainbow cupcake, waffle, mousse dome, and more.
