Regal’s ‘31 Screams on Screen’ 2026 schedule includes 33 horror movies and classic films
Regal Cinemas is bringing horror movies back to the big screen throughout October with its 2026 “31 Screams on Screen” series.
The schedule includes at least one horror movie each day from Oct. 1-31, with double features scheduled on two nights. Among the selections are “The Shining,” “The Conjuring,” “Poltergeist,” “The Thing,” “Halloween” and “Trick ’r Treat.”
Regal’s 2026 lineup spans several decades and includes work from prominent horror filmmakers such as John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Jordan Peele and Ari Aster.
Tickets listed through Regal are $7.99 before applicable taxes and fees. Participating theaters and showtimes may vary by location.

The schedule contains only two returning selections from Regal’s 2025 “31 Screams on Screen” lineup: the original “Candyman” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Last year’s series devoted an entire week to the Universal Classic Monsters, while the 2026 schedule draws more heavily from horror movies released between the 1980s and 2010s.
Horror movies step off the screen at theme parks
Several horror franchises are also appearing in current theme park experiences. Dorney Park’s 2026 Halloween Haunt includes a haunted attraction inspired by “The Blair Witch Project,” which Regal will screen Oct. 25.
“The Conjuring” franchise also appears in haunted attractions at several Six Flags Fright Fest locations, including Great Adventure, Great America and Fiesta Texas, where maze admission requires a separately purchased Haunted Attractions Pass in addition to park admission.
At SCarowinds, the new ‘Jason: Blood Reign’ maze draws from the first 10 “Friday the 13th” movies, with most scenes inspired by the franchise’s first four installments.
