SeaWorld Orlando announces opening date for new Sesame Street land

SeaWorld Orlando revealed the official opening date for their new Sesame Street land on Orlando’s Fox 35 News this morning.

UPDATE – 03/22/19: Exclusive Pass Member Previews have been announced for the new land coming soon to SeaWorld Orlando.

On March 23-24, Pass Members visiting the park can check out the new Sesame Street area when it opens at 11 a.m. until it closes at 6 p.m. A SeaWorld Annual Pass or Preschool Card will be required for entry into Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando. Professional cameras and GoPros will not be allowed during these preview dates.

Guests can have even more time to play in Sesame Street this April! On April 11 and 14, the land will open a full hour early for Pass Members and Preschool Card holders. On Thursday, April 11, the land will open at 11 a.m.; on Sunday, April 14, the land will open at 9 a.m.


The park’s new Sesame Street land will officially open on March 27, 2019. Theme park fans might notice that this is actually the same day as the opening for Legoland Florida Resort’s newest area, The Lego Movie World.

Highlights of the new Sesame Street land will include:

  • An immersive area featuring exciting rides, dry and wet play areas, and interactive experiences designed for the entire family.
  • Explore the iconic neighborhood, walk through Abby Cadabby’s garden, stop by Big Bird’s nest, visit Mr. Hooper’s store, sit on the famous 123 stoop and meet your favorite “Sesame Street” characters like Cookie Monster, Elmo and Big Bird.
  • Elmo and his friends, along with parade dancers, will invite guests to join the party on Sesame Street daily during SeaWorld Orlando’s first-ever parade!
