Looney Tunes Land will open at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2026, replacing Bugs Bunny World and affirming Six Flags’ continued interest in the Looney Tunes intellectual property (IP).

Looney Tunes Land opening in 2026 at Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags announced on Dec. 16, 2025, that Looney Tunes Land will replace Bugs Bunny World at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif., near Los Angeles.
Looney Tunes Land will repurpose existing rides and areas, as well as introduce new experiences built from the ground up. The latter category includes two outdoor areas called Taz’s Exploration Trail and Bugs Bunny Play Park.

Looney Tunes Land will debut at Six Flags Magic Mountain “by summer 2026,” opening in phases.
“The new Looney Tunes Land will be a continuation of our mutually successful partnership with Warner Bros. that began more than 40 years ago and will continue to celebrate the characters of their beloved franchise,” said Raffi Kaprelyan, SVP and West Coast regional general manager for Six Flags. “We are counting down the days until we can invite families to experience the whimsy and fun of Looney Tunes in a way that is more immersive and exciting than ever before!”

Bugs Bunny World to close
As part of the changes for Looney Tunes Land, four rides in Bugs Bunny World will permanently close: Magic Flyer, Tweety’s Escape, Speedy Gonzales Hot Rods, and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party.
Whistlestop Train will become Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, while Taz’s Trucking Company will be renamed Daffy’s Forest Four-Wheelers. Looney Tunes Lodge and Wascal’s restaurant will both be refreshed. Six Flags will announce more details and attraction names later.

What Looney Tunes Land means for the bigger picture of Six Flags | Analysis
The news of Six Flags Magic Mountain introducing Looney Tunes Land for its 2026 season comes just one week after Netflix announced its intentions to acquire Warner Bros., which includes the Looney Tunes characters.
While the plans for Looney Tunes Land were certainly in the works prior to the Netflix deal, the follow-through indicates a business-as-usual approach, for now, of licensing opportunities overseen by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, the division of Warner Bros. responsible for location-based entertainment and theme park attractions. (Six Flags Magic Mountain also includes another area based on a licensed Warner Bros. property, Metropolis, themed to DC Comics.)

The changes at Magic Mountain are also notable in refraining from implementing the Peanuts characters in legacy Six Flags parks. Following to Six Flags’ 2024 merger with Cedar Fair, the Peanuts brand (featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang) are seemingly on the table for any park in the newly combined portfolio. Furthermore, Six Flags recently extended its Peanuts license through 2030. The notion of Six Flags Magic Mountain heavily revamping its children’s area with new Looney Tunes investment rather than Peanuts is significant for the bigger picture of the company’s future plans in showing Six Flags intends to continue to create new attractions with both franchises.
