Young professionals who are seeking to ascend the amusement industry career ladder can get a head-start on their climb at Skyline Attractions’ 2018 Skynext event, to be held in Orlando on March 2-3.

Skyline Attractions is a ride engineering company headquartered on the south side of downtown Orlando, Florida. Their products include interactive carnival rides like Strike-U-Up, Spin-U-Win, and Crazy Couch. Most recently, Skyline showed off their new Skywarp roller coaster design (which will be installed at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom with a Harley Quinn theme) at the 2017 IAAPA Expo.

As a part of Skyline’s commitment to hiring “the most passionate, innovative, and fun young professionals,” the company periodically holds Skynext events featuring exclusive presentations and activities aimed at helping to develop the future of the amusement industry.

The next Skynext event is scheduled for March 2-3, 2018, and Skyline plans to to host Skynext on the first weekend of March each year going forward. This event is geared towards young professionals and students who are seeking a career in the amusement industry. This year’s event will be held at their facility in Orlando and at other locations in the surrounding area; previous events have included visits to SeaWorld, Fun Spot, and the Orlando Eye.

If you are interested in attending this year’s Skynext, fill out the application and upload a PDF document explaining why you want to work in the industry. The application deadline is Jan. 31, 2018. If selected, you will be informed by Feb. 2. The detailed schedule of events and presenters will be provided at a later date. There is a registration fee of $50 to attend, and travel and lodging are up to the participants.
