The Smurf Experience mini theme park coming to the U.S. and Canada in 2025
While the Smurfs may be small, this experience is not. A 13,000-square-foot mini theme park will tour the U.S. and Canada just in time to celebrate Paramount’s new “Smurfs” movie, set to release in July 2025.

This traveling mini theme park, dubbed The Smurf Experience, will bring the Smurfs to life. Visitors will feel as if they have “shrunk down” to Smurf size as they’re immersed in the decades-old world of the Smurfs. Guests will have to help save the planet from the evil Smurf, Gargamel. To accomplish this mission, there will be play-based physical and digital activities, including obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, puzzles, crafts, and VR adventures — plus Smurf character meet-and-greets — at The Smurf Experience.

The Smurf Experience kicked off in Europe
This experience has already toured Europe, welcoming a record number of visitors, totaling over 2 million. “Following the tremendous success of The Smurf Experience in Europe, where it brought sell-out crowds, we’re thrilled to bring this iconic attraction to the U.S. The Smurfs have a rich legacy as a beloved and globally recognized brand, with over six decades of history that continues to capture imaginations across the world,” said David Dube, president and chairman of SBX (one of the companies producing The Smurf Experience).
The North America multi-city tour will kick off in early 2025. Host cities, dates, and tickets to be announced soon.
The Smurfs have been entertaining kids for over 6 decades
In 1958 the Smurfs first debuted in the pages of a comic book. The little blue characters, who stand only three apples high, continue to delight and entertain on pages, screens, and in person. The Smurfs all seem to value positive characteristics, such as loyalty and optimism. Yet, they each have their own fun personalities. Together they live in their mushroom-shaped houses hidden in the heart of a magic forest.

Paramount/Nickelodeon’s ‘The Smurfs’ will hit theaters in America on July 18, 2025
The new movie will be released in theaters and star Rihanna as Smurfette. She will also produce, and write the soundtrack for the movie. Additionally, actors such as Kurt Russell, Xolo Maridueña, Octavia Spencer, Sandra Oh, and more will be in “The Smurfs.”
If you can’t wait that long, “The Smurfs” animated series (2021) is currently on Nickelodeon and Netflix.
Many companies have come together to make The Smurf Experience happen
The Smurf Experience was designed by Belgium-based agency Cecoforma in collaboration with Smurf parent entity Peyo Company. With the help of SBX Group, they will all be working together to adapt the experience for North American audiences. “Across Europe, millions have delighted in the experience we have created. Now, we are thrilled to partner with SBX Group to bring this attraction to a new audience in the U.S.A. and allow them to interact with the Smurfs in an entirely new way as never before,” said Cecoforma CEO Stéphan Uhoda.
SBX is also partnering with Leap Event Technology as the Official Ticketing Provider for The Smurf Experience in North America. “It is our privilege to partner once again with SBX on another of their amazing immersive experiences with an iconic, family-friendly brand like the Smurfs.”
