Stitch, Moana, and S.E.A. rule summer at Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland is “Wild About Summer” with new and returning entertainment, specialty treats, and exclusive experiences featuring Stitch, Moana, the infamous Society of Explorers and Adventurers, and other Disney favorites.

Hong Kong Disneyland’s summer offerings are now in full swing. Guests can experience a jam-packed lineup of limited-time fun — much of which involves cooling off with spritzes of water. Unless otherwise noted, the experiences below operate now through Sept. 3, 2023.
Adventure Is Out There… in Adventureland
Mickey and Goofy host “Adventure Is Out There!,” a new stage show in Adventureland. The name draws inspiration from the catchphrase of explorer Charles Muntz from Pixar’s “Up.” In the movie, aspiring dreamers Ellie and Carl borrow the phrase as their life mantra.

“Adventure Is Out There!” features appearances by Stitch, King Louie, Russell, and Moana.

Watch out… you may get wet!

Also in Adventureland, visitors can meet Disney friends dressed in new adventure-themed outfits to match Mickey and Goofy’s wardrobe from the show. Pluto, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale are all present and accounted for. Additionally, now through July 9, 2023, guests can meet Stitch and Lilo in Adventureland, coinciding with Stitch Day.

Streetmosphere featuring Friends from Mystic Manor and Toy Story
As guests wander throughout Hong Kong Disneyland, they might stumble upon unexpected, small-scale street entertainment that contributes to the atmosphere, also called “streetmosphere.”

In Mystic Point, Reginald Montgomery is eager to show off the objects he’s procured on his global adventures. So the story goes, Reginald is the great nephew of Lord Henry Mystic, the main character in Mystic Manor. The fan-favorite dark ride is Hong Kong Disneyland’s original take on the Haunted Mansion.
Meanwhile, Mystic Point Freight Depot is home to a quarter of musicians.

This new entertainment for the area deepens the lore Mystic Point’s story universe, known as the Society of Adventurers and Explorers (or S.E.A.). First established in the early 2000s, S.E.A. is an interconnected narrative shared among a handful of Disney theme park attractions worldwide. Other attractions within the narrative include Jungle Cruise, Tokyo DisneySea’s version of Tower of Terror, and the defunct Adventurers Club at Walt Disney World’s Pleasure Island.
Elsewhere in Hong Kong Disneyland, guests may encounter Andy’s Green Army Men action figures. During “Toy Soldier Boot Camp,” the characters spray mist onto Toy Story Land visitors.

In Fantasyland, the new “Summer Splash Bubble Party” invites guests to dance as countless bubbles fill the air.

Returning Entertainment featuring Modern Disney Stars
In addition to new offerings, favorite productions from previous years’ summer programming return to Hong Kong Disneyland for 2023’s Wild About Summer season.

A summer edition of the “Follow Your Dreams” castle show features enhanced water effects. As with many productions performed in front of a Disney castle around the world, the proceedings are kicked off by the Fab Five: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy.

A host of stars from Disney films of the past decade join the party, including Miguel from “Coco” and Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from “Zootopia.”

Classic and recent heroines come together in a number led by Pocahontas, Elsa, and Moana.

“Pixar Water Play Street Party” also returns to Hong Kong Disneyland for the summer. As brightly colored floats arrive onto Main Street, U.S.A., guests can wave to (and get sprayed with water by) Pixar characters. Among the cast are stars from “Inside Out,” “Up,” “Onward,” and more Pixar movies.

Hong Kong Disneyland Summer Treats, Savory and Sweet
Limited-time summer food awaits guests throughout Hong Kong Disneyland. Outdoor vending carts in Toy Story Land feature fruit-flavored muffins styled like some familiar faces. Munch on muffins shaped like Buzz and Lotso (now through July 15, 2023), Woody and Jessie (July 16 – Aug. 12, 2023), or Hamm and a Pizza Planet alien (Aug. 13-31, 2023).

In Tomorrowland’s outdoor vending, adorable treats celebrate Stitch and Angel. Guests can enjoy a Stitch soft serve cup, a Stitch Earl Grey Tea chocolate puff (now through July 29, 2023), and an Angel strawberry cheese donut (July 30 – Aug. 31, 2023).

At Chart Room Café inside Disney Explorers Lodge, guests can find specialty cakes (now through Aug. 31, 2023). The treat depicting Scrump, Lilo’s handmade doll, is pineapple cake with raspberry marshmallow. The dessert featuring Stitch is blueberry and lemon yogurt cake.

At Enchanted Garden in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, the lunch and dinner buffets include items celebrating Donald Duck (through the end of June). (June 9 is recognized annually as Donald’s birthday, honoring his screen debut in “The Wise Little Hen” on June 9, 1934.)

On the savory side of things, Walt’s Café in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will host a semi-buffet dinner with a “nostalgic” menu (July 1 – Sept. 30, 2023).

Hong Kong Disneyland Summer Merchandise Collections
Guests in search for souvenirs will find plenty to choose from among new merchandise collections debuting at Hong Kong Disneyland this summer.
The “Cozy Fun” collection features items inspired by some of Disney’s fuzziest animated pals, like Lotso from “Toy Story 3,” Mei from “Turning Red,” and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.”

The “Styling All Day” collection dresses Mickey, Duffy, and their friends in fits ready for a stylish day out.

The “Elemental” collection celebrates the release of Pixar’s newest film, welcoming Ember, Wade, Gale, and Clod to the Disney family.

These are just a few of many new merchandise collections Hong Kong Disneyland is rolling out this summer.
Special Activities at Onsite Disney Resorts
Guests staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel or Disney Explorers Lodge can enjoy special resort activities as part of Wild About Summer.
Stitch himself hosts the Summer Splash Poolside Party, a complimentary offering featuring dancing and games.

Meanwhile, Mickey Mixology Workshop, an upcharge experience, offers guests the chance to create their own summer treats.

Again, unless otherwise noted, all summer experiences above are ongoing now through Sept. 3, 2023.
Reopening of Disney’s Hollywood Hotel
Beyond seasonal festivities, Hong Kong Disneyland is gearing up for a number of permanent enhancements. For starters, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel reopens July 14, 2023, with a lobby makeover and re-imagined restaurants.
The Archivist, filled with décor celebrating Marvel, will serve Spanish tapas.

Ink & Plate, inspired by Disney Animation’s Ink & Paint Department, will serve fresh, healthy options. (In the early days of animation, Ink & Paint artists traced animators’ rough sketches with ink and filled in the colors with paint.)
ChargeSpot Phone Charger Rentals
Hong Kong Disneyland now offers ChargeSpot rentals to guests who need to charge their phone. The ChargeSpot banks come in three designs, with more on the way.

Guests can find ChargeSpot locations at the Hong Kong Disneyland main entrance and inside City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A.

Looking ahead after an extremely packed summer of new experiences, Hong Kong Disneyland will expand this November with World of Frozen, a new themed land.
