Thomas the Tank Engine vehicle reveal for Mattel Adventure Park
In 2021, we shared the news that the first-of-its-kind Mattel Adventure Park would be opening in Glendale, Ariz., with the world’s first fully electric full-sized Thomas the Tank Engine. During the 2022 IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Chance Rides gave a first look at this new ride vehicle.
Coming in 2023 to the Mattel Adventure Park, Thomas will lead a train of guests in and around this brand new park in Glendale, Ariz. “We are thrilled to create the country’s first Mattel Adventure Park in Glendale,” said Mark Cornell, president of attractions & entertainment for Crystal Lagoons Island Resort. “A passion for innovation and excellence has driven the design of our venue. Mattel shares our vision and sets the platinum standard for the concept of play.”
This family-friendly new ride will take visitors around the park, with an indoor, air-conditioned section of the park being themed to “Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.” The all-electric concept will allow for cleaner and quieter usage of this large ride vehicle as it leads guests around the space.
Guests at the park will also be able to experience the high-speed Hot Wheels Bone Shaker roller coaster.
