Tokyo Disneyland to open ‘Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast,’ new expansions on Sept. 28
Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that the largest expansion of Tokyo Disneyland ever, encompassing new attractions, restaurants and shops, will open to guests on Sept. 28.
This expansion includes new offerings in three of the park’s seven themed lands—Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Toontown—and will include the attraction “Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast,” “The Happy Ride with Baymax,” the “Minnie’s Style Studio” character meet-and-greet experience, and more. In addition, a new specialty popcorn store, The Big Pop, will open in Tomorrowland.
In order to keep guests and cast members safe, some of the new experiences have been modified and entry will be temporarily limited. A new entry request system accessible through the Tokyo Disney Resort app will be used to get assigned time reservations for the new attractions and meet-and-greet. Entry to the new restaurants and shops will also be limited to guests who have made advance reservations.
One part of the expansion, however, will be opening at a later date. Fantasyland Forest Theatre and its show, “Mickey’s Magical Musical World,” will open at a date to be announced later.
