Tundra Twister now open at Canada’s Wonderland
The one-of-a-kind Tundra Twister thrill ride is now open as the newest addition to the Frontier Canada section of Canada’s Wonderland theme park in Toronto.
Tundra Twister – the only ride of its kind in the world – features a giant pendulum that swings 40 guests at a time, 360 degrees, upside-down, to heights of more than 150 feet, and at speeds of up to 46 miles per hour.
But that’s not all. The ride’s gondolas also rotate spontaneously, depending on weight distribution and other factors, which provides a different ride experience every time.
Tundra Twister was designed by Dutch ride manufacturer Mondial as a prototype; other Mondial rides at Canada’s Wonderland include Psyclone, Windseeker, Riptide, Soaring Timbers, and Shockwave.
The minimum height requirement for Tundra Twister is 54”.
Snoopy’s Racing Railway
Also new at Canada’s Wonderland is Snoopy’s Racing Railway, a family launch roller coaster that accelerates from zero to 30+ miles per hour in seconds before taking riders on a wild railway adventure with Snoopy to outrun Woodstock and his Bad Seed Gang.
