Starting Friday, March 4, 2022, Universal Studios Hollywood will no longer require masks, proof of vaccination, or negative COVID-19 tests. Face coverings are still highly encouraged for guests while indoors.

This news comes as L.A. County is expected to lift its indoor mask mandate on the same date.

A Universal Studios Hollywood spokesperson stated the following:

“Beginning on Friday, March 4, and in accordance with government guidelines, guests will no longer be required to wear facial coverings, or show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. Facial coverings continue to be strongly recommended while indoors. More information will be available at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com.”

Universal Studios Hollywood has maintained strict health and safety guidelines since reopening on April 16, 2021, after a yearlong closure due to the pandemic. This update signals the county-wide easing of Covid-19 restrictions across Los Angeles.
