The new coaster is the 15th at Pennsylvania’s largest amusement park (earning it bragging rights for the most coasters in the Northeast) and features a 140-foot hill, an 82-degree drop, four inversions, max speeds of 62 miles per hour, and the world’s largest under flip, an inversion that starts with an upward climb, followed by a counterclockwise 270° roll, and a dive down towards the side.

Wildcat’s Revenge has a height requirement of 48 inches and above.

What Makes Wildcat’s Revenge Hybrid?

The original Wild Cat was the park’s very first coaster, which was later reworked into a new version of the ride that opened in the 90s and closed last year.

For the new attraction, Hersheypark partnered with Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) to add an all-new red steel track to Wild Cat’s existing wooden framework. The result is an enhanced ride experience, length, and the number of thrills.

Wildcat’s Revenge also debuts a fully-renovated station that pays tribute to the iconic 1923 Wild Cat station, with low-pitched gables around the roof’s perimeter. The ride’s new custom-designed trains, which were first revealed last November, feature fully-dimensional wildcat heads clawing their way through the front.

  1. The Wildcat coaster that Wildcat’s Revenge updates is NOT the original 1923 coaster of the same name. That ride was torn down in 1945. The Wildcat that is now this hybrid coaster was built in 1996.
