Burger King is bringing Hello Kitty toys to restaurants beginning Oct. 20, 2026. The fast-food chain has released an official teaser featuring Hello Kitty’s signature red bow, building anticipation for the upcoming promotion.
Collectors just finished tracking down Hello Kitty toys at McDonald’s. Now, mere weeks later, another fast-food hunt is around the corner.
Images shared online show the Burger King toys packaged in blind boxes, meaning customers would not know which character they received until opening one. Burger King has utilized blind box packaging before; the Nintendo-themed toys from several years ago are one example.
Update: Burger King teases Hello Kitty launch
Oct. 16, 2026: Burger King has shared its first official Instagram teaser for the upcoming Hello Kitty promotion. The video features the Burger King logo wearing Hello Kitty’s signature red bow against a bright blue background.
“Something super cute is coming to BK on 10/20!” Burger King wrote in the caption, confirming the previously reported Oct. 20 launch date.

How the Burger King x Hello Kitty reports began
Images of a possible Burger King x Hello Kitty and Friends promotion began circulating on social media in mid-September. Food news account @mnmtwinz shared an early look at what appear to be collectible toys in blind-box packaging, and several outlets subsequently reported on promotional materials describing a U.S. campaign.

What toys are shown in the reported lineup?
Images circulating online show six possible figures. The designs and lineup have not been confirmed by Burger King or Sanrio.
- Hello Kitty: Wears a Burger King crown and holds a small hamburger.
- Gold Hello Kitty: A metallic gold version with a bow and crown.
- Kuromi: Wears her black hood and holds a pink heart.
- My Melody: Wears her pink hood and bow.
- Cinnamoroll: Holds a small blue drink cup.
- Keroppi: Holds a small carton of nuggets.
Burger King’s social media post is only a teaser, but the Hello Kitty toys will most likely be offered with the chain’s King Jr. Meals. A typical King Jr. Meal includes a choice of entrée, a side, a drink and a toy.
Why would Hello Kitty appear at Burger King so soon after McDonald’s?
The reported Burger King collection would follow McDonald’s Hello Kitty and Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal, which launched Aug. 18. While McDonald’s toys combined Sanrio characters with Godzilla monsters, the images circulating for Burger King show the Sanrio characters in a separate collection.
