Butterbeer Goldfish, Hershey’s Kisses celebrate Harry Potter’s favorite drink
Butterbeer season is upon us, and Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans will find the flavor in treats, even in their grocery stores. Recently, we tasted the Goldfish Butterbeer-Flavored Grahams available in grocery stores during Butterbeer Season.

In honor of the wizarding beverage, Warner Bros. Discovery announced the return of Butterbeer Season, this year debuting some new snacks available beyond the theme parks.
Happening between March 1 and May 31, 2025, the season offers fans new ways to enjoy the delicious taste of their favorite Wizarding World of Harry Potter beverage. Also, it provides an occasion to launch several new treats, limited-edition products, and special events worldwide.
New Butterbeer treats
Fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter can visit brick-and-mortar stores throughout the U.S. for new treats. Online purchases will also be available.
Goldfish Butterbeer-Flavored Grahams
Goldfish snack fans can taste Butterbeer from those signature bags seen in many stores for a limited time. The traditional Goldfish graham will be topped off with the drink’s butterscotch flavor.
What did we think of the Goldfish treats?
Recently, we tried this limited-time grocery store item. The Butterbeer Goldfish come in three shapes: classic Goldfish, owl, and Butterbeer barrel.
Like most graham versions of Goldfish, vanilla is the main flavor. This makes sense since vanilla is part of the recipe for the iconic beverage at Universal theme parks. Butterscotch is another key component, so reading “Butterscotch Flavored” on the front of the bag also shows promise.
Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans will enjoy this treat. However, those looking for a Butterbeer flavor similar to the theme park version will be disappointed. Based on the nature of Goldfish Grahams, the vanilla plays a more prominent part than the butterscotch. Despite that, we enjoyed them. However, the new Butterbeer Cream Puff at Universal Orlando Resort stands as our new favorite Butterbeer Season treat.
Hershey’s Harry Potter Butterbeer Kisses
Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans can enjoy a limited-edition treat from Hershey’s. The classic “Kisses” candy merges with the cream soda and butterscotch flavors of Butterbeer.
Keebler Fudge Stripes Cookies
Those Keebler elves must be fans of Harry Potter. They created a limited-time treat, Harry Potter Butterbeer Fudge Stripes Cookies. These feature Butterbeer-flavored cookies topped with Butterbeer-flavored fudge that should resemble the sweet combination of cream soda and butterscotch that Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans adore. The cookies, which will be available at grocery stores and other retailers in the United States, will come in four designs, with shapes and imprints inspired by the “Harry Potter” films.
SkinnyPop Butterbeer-Flavored Kettle Popcorn
SkinnyPop will start selling a sharable-size bag of Butterbeer-flavored kettle Popcorn. People should expect the popcorn to taste like butterscotch and have a hint of brown butter with caramel flavors. This Wizarding World of Harry Potter snack will be great for those with allergies. It is free of gluten, dairy, peanuts, and tree nuts, so almost everybody can enjoy it.
New merchandise
Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans love new merchandise. For Butterbeer Season, there will be several new options.
Lionel
The Lionel company will allow fans to expand their Harry Potter train collection with new additions featuring train smoke fluid, a Reefer Car, a Tank Car, and a Tank. They are available in-store and online in the U.S. and Canada.
Orly
Orly, the nailcare company, will magically help fans transform their nailcare routine with new products. A range of products will be infused with Butterbeer scent, including:
- Orly x Harry Potter Butterbeer Scented Iridescent Nail Polish Topper
- Orly x Harry Potter Scented Nourishing Cuticle Oil
- Orly x Harry Potter Scented Hydrating Cuticle Froth

These will be available at orlybeauty.com and ulta.com beginning March 1.
Running Press
Running Press created the perfect mug for drinking Butterbeer this season. Of course, most fans will not risk damaging the mug and everything that comes with it.
The Harry Potter Butterbeer Mini Mug Set provides a collectible for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans. It comes with a collectible 3.5-inch glass mug inspired by the Butterbeer mug as seen in the films, a 48-page guidebook on the beverage, and a Harry Potter-themed coaster. This Harry Potter merchandise is available to fans worldwide online.
Butterbeer Season special events
The Harry Potter New York store will serve as a key place for Butterbeer Season, along with the Universal theme parks’ Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas. At Harry Potter New York, guests can sample brand-new treats from March 1, including cookies, sundaes, and a new ice-cream topping.
Additionally, a special vehicle called The Butterbeer Truck will visit multiple cities across the U.S. Fans who spot it can get a free Butterbeer, grab surprise giveaways, participate in themed photo ops, and more. Fans should check out @HarryPotter for information on when and where the truck will be making its stops. Also, at Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Boston, Mass., fans can celebrate the season with ticket packages that include admission, merchandise, and, of course, a Butterbeer!
What does Butterbeer taste like?
Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans first read about Butterbeer in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” As Ron, Hermione, and Harry huddled in The Three Broomsticks and enjoyed their drink, fans wondered what this wizarding beverage tasted like.
Universal Orlando and other locations devised a recipe. Even muggles fell in love with this drink. The butterscotch and hint of shortbread within Butterbeer draw an extensive queue most days in the Wizarding World areas of Universal theme parks. The original formula has grown to include hot and frozen beverages. Butterbeer ice cream also arrived for Universal theme park guests. We should not forget about Butterbeer Potted Cream.
