Create your own glass gingerbread ornament at Epcot: Options and prices
Guests can decorate a glass gingerbread ornament at Epcot’s Germany pavilion, choosing a cookie-inspired shape and festive accents to create a holiday keepsake. The experience starts at $39, with optional personalization available for an additional fee.

German music, the nearby World Showcase Lagoon and the miniature train village across the bustling pathway give this corner of Epcot a cozy setting for a little Christmas creativity.
At the Glaskunst kiosk, glass “cookies” and colorful decorations await guests ready to design a souvenir for their tree. During his visit, well before the holiday season at Walt Disney World has begun, our video editor Mikey spotted a few guests taking part in the experience.

Here’s how the cost compares to other personalized ornament options at Walt Disney World.
Create a glass gingerbread keepsake at Epcot
The ornament decorating experience is offered by Arribas Brothers, the glass artisans who also have locations at Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs.
Here at Epcot, their small Glaskunst kiosk in the Germany pavilion offers a chance to customize a glass keepsake inspired by gingerbread cookies. The ornament decorating experience debuted at Epcot just before fall began.
Guests begin by choosing a Christmas tree, Mickey-shaped gingerbread figure or heart, then select four decorative accents included in the $39 price. Additional decorations cost $5 each, and personalization is available for another $6.99.

The glass gingerbread ornament costs $39 with four decorative accents, or $45.99 with the optional $6.99 personalization, according to the sign photographed during Mikey’s visit. Additional decorations cost $5 each.
For comparison, ready-made ornaments recently documented ranged from $22.99 for a Cinderella Castle ball ornament to $34.99 for a Goofy and Donald Christmas tree ornament.
Guests can also add painted personalization at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Days of Christmas at Disney Springs. Previously documented fees are $5 for a name, year or number, plus $5 for each additional word.
The $45.99 personalized glass gingerbread ornament is therefore about $6 more than the ready-made gingerbread house with a painted name and year, or about $1 more than the Christmas tree ornament with those additions. Its price also includes choosing and arranging four decorative accents.

Sweet memories
A ready-made Disney ornament with a painted name can be a lovely reminder of a vacation, with a talented cast member adding the finishing touch. However, the glass gingerbread experience invites you to help shape the keepsake itself, choosing its base and decorative accents.

It’s a creative moment that also becomes part of your time in World Showcase. With German music playing, the lagoon nearby and miniature trains winding through the village across the pathway, the ornament carries a connection to the place where you designed it.
When you unpack it for a future Christmas, its familiar details may bring back the memory of choosing each little decoration during your day at Epcot.
