Disney Skyliner to begin transporting guests in fall 2019 at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World’s newest transportation system, the Disney Skyliner, will officially become operational next fall, per an announcement from Bob Chapek at IAAPA on Nov. 14.

This new gondola system will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four nearby resort hotels – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the upcoming Disney’s Riviera Resort.
The Disney Skyliner will offer a brand-new way for guests to experience the parks, offering never-before-seen views. For example, guests arriving to Epcot’s International Gateway station will travel through trees and be welcomed into the park with all-new views across World Showcase.
The final support tower was recently installed for the new transportation system, and now workers are threading the series of reinforced cables that will carry guests in the themed gondolas.
