Downtown Disney opens new dining locations as part of ongoing transformation

Guests at Downtown Disney District can now enjoy three new dining options — Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, Beignets Expressed, and Clyde’s Hot Chicken — with more on the way as Disneyland Resort continues to evolve the real estate outside its two theme parks.

Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio

Formerly known as Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, the newly-reopened Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio received a makeover of its exterior and interior spaces, and a new menu.

Take your pick from some of these items just introduced:

  • Lobster and crawfish sliders
  • Chile-spiced honey glazed grilled salmon
  • Gumbo LA-LA (pictured below)
  • Grilled open-faced lobster BLT Po-Boy
  • Reef & Beef — grilled shrimp and braised short ribs

Beignets Expressed

The next-door neighbor of Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio is Beignets Expressed, a quick-service one-stop shop for any and every kind of beignet you can imagine (and sure to please fans of the favorite New Orleans dessert).

Clyde’s Hot Chicken

While boarding or departing from the Disneyland Monorail’s Downtown Disney station, guests might notice a new cart, Clyde’s Hot Chicken. Hungry patrons can choose their preferred “heat level” and enjoy hot Nashville chicken on a stick.

More On the Way at Downtown Disney

These three establishments are all now open, but there’s plenty more to come as Downtown Disney continues welcoming new businesses and experiences to its lineup.

Among the locations opening soon are:

  • The Alley featuring games and live music in the outdoor area near Splitsville Luxury Lanes
  • Din Tai Fung serving Chinese cuisine, including signature soup dumplings
  • Paseo and Céntrico serving Mexican cuisine from Chef Carlos Gaytán (replacing Sprinkles Cupcakes and Catal Restaurant)
  • Porto’s Bakery and Café serving California-Cuban cheese rolls and pastries (replacing the temporary Earl of Sandwich location, which replaced La Brea Bakery)

These new offerings are in addition to the special treats, merchandise, and photo-ops celebrating Disney100 throughout Downtown Disney.

Nearby, construction also continues for two onsite hotel accommodations. The transformation of Paradise Pier Hotel into Pixar Place Hotel is well underway, to be completed by this winter. Meanwhile, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, a new tower of the classic hotel, opens Sept. 28, 2023.
