How to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland with virtual queue or Lightning Lane

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is “almost there” at Disneyland Resort, but even though there will be no standby queue available when the ride officially opens on Nov. 15, 2024, there are still a few ways to ride the joyful new attraction.

There will be several ways to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland: via the complimentary  virtual queue system or by purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue

Guests can only join the virtual queue through the Disneyland app, and virtual queue enrollment will only be available be three times daily, at 7 a.m., 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. PT. Each guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours.

Disneyland Virtual Queue

Here’s how it works:

To enter the virtual queue, a guest must have entered Disneyland park with a valid single park ticket or Disney California Adventure park with a park hopper ticket. Park reservations are also still required at the Disneyland Resort.

There are three daily opportunities to request to join the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure:

  • 7 a.m. – Guests must have a park reservation for Disneyland Park with a one-park ticket or a park reservation for Disneyland Park with a Park Hopper ticket
  • 12 Noon – Guests inside Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket or inside Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue
  • 4 p.m. – Guests inside Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket or inside Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue

When it’s time to request a virtual queue, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your MyDisney account is linked to your group’s park tickets
  2. Make sure you have notifications enabled for the Disneyland app, so you can receive important updates, including callback details and daily distribution times.
  3. Select “Virtual Queues” on the home screen to view the current status and next steps for joining a virtual queue. The app will indicate when there is no availability for a specific distribution time, or if a backup group is available.
  4. Enroll everyone in the virtual queue at the same time (subject to availability).

Once you’ve secured a virtual queue, you’ll receive a notification via the Disneyland app when your boarding group is called. Then, head over to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure entrance within your designated return window.

Please be aware that:

  • Guests with a Magic Key pass or Park Hopper ticket who start their day at California Adventure can hop to Disneyland beginning at 11 a.m. to redeem their boarding group. The ability to visit a park is subject to the park’s capacity limitations, and a boarding group does not guarantee park admission.
  • Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to ride.
  • Boarding groups for a virtual queue are limited, subject to availability, and are not guaranteed. Not all boarding groups may be called to return, based on availability of the experience.

Disneyland is also currently also using a virtual queue for World of Color – ONE and Haunted Mansion Holiday, so Guests need to enter those virtual queues one at a time, but Guests can only enter a virtual queue for one attraction and one entertainment offering at the same time.

Know Before You Go

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a water-based flume ride and riders will get wet. Therefore, if there are items that can’t survive the extra-splashy attraction, consider renting a locker on Main Street U.S.A., leaving them with a non-riding friend or relative, or putting them inside a plastic bag before boarding.

A Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-themed waterproof phone pouch will be sold at Louis’ Critter Club in Bayou Country and waterproof ponchos are available for purchase at retail locations across Disneyland park.

Parties with guests that do not meet the minimum 40-inch height requirement can ask a cast member about complimentary Rider Switch, which allows adults to take turns experiencing the attraction, while the other waits with non-riders.
