In 2021, we told you about the new daytime parade expected to debut at Universal Studios Japan in Spring 2022. Unfortunately, because of Covid-related delays, the parade was put on hold… until now.

Universal Studios Japan has announced that fans will finally get to see the Super Mario Bros and Pokémon debut as well as characters from Hello Kitty, Sing!, Minions, Sesame Street, and the Peanuts gang. The parade will also feature dance music from 1960s rock to 2020s EDM, creating a street party where guests will be invited to dance around the floats during parade stops.

The introduction of Super Mario Bros and Pokemon characters to the park’s daytime parade follows the opening of Super Nintendo World in 2021 and the announcement that Pokémon is coming to Universal Studios Japan in 2023.

The Super Mario Bros characters will appear on the world’s first Mario Kart-themed float – the Rainbow Road float – featuring Mario, Luigi, Toad, Koopa, Yoshi, and Princess Peach.

The Pokémon float will feature large Pokeballs and a collection of Pokémon, including Charizard, Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and many more.

The “No Limit! Parade” will be the first daytime parade at Universal Studios Japan since the pandemic forced the park to cancel all its parades (the Universal Spectacle Night Parade has not yet returned). For the best viewing experience, park guests can purchase a separate ticket for the “No Limit! Parade Special Viewing Area.” Pricing for the viewing area starts at 1,300 yen (about $9.85).
