Six Flags adjusts passholder rewards at almost all parks
Six Flags changed the way season passholders at almost all Six Flags-owned parks receive exclusive benefits.

Six Flags will now reward season passholders with “Pass Perks” automatically rather than require passholders to earn their benefits.
Previously, passholders needed to visit the parks a certain number of times to unlock specific benefits, often on a month-to-month basis. For example, one Pass Perk might be 50% off a snack if you visit three times in March. Now, however, Six Flags will distribute rewards regardless of how many times passholders visit (or if they even visit at all).

Six Flags calls the new system “Perks & Play.” The company will notify passholders of active rewards via email, push notifications from the Six Flags app, text messages, and in-park signage. Each benefit will be active for 1-2 weeks.
Rewards may include merchandise discounts, BOGO dining offers, free bring-a-friend ticket, savings on Fast Lane, or in-park currency.
This new policy applies to all Six Flags-owned parks, including parks previously owned by Cedar Fair prior to the 2024 merger, except for La Ronde in Montreal, Canada.
Even if your season pass is valid for multiple Six Flags parks, your Pass Perks are only valid at your home park, the park where you activated your season pass.
As a reminder, effective this season, Six Flags discontinued individual parks’ mobile apps in favor of one fully integrated Six Flags app for all parks.
The bigger picture of Six Flags’ new era
Earlier this week, Six Flags restructured its gold-tier season passes. Now, gold passes for all Six Flags parks in North America are grouped regionally. If you buy a pass to one park, you receive admission to all the other parks in your region for free. See the full list of regions and which parks belong to which group in our separate coverage.
Also this week, Six Flags changed its filming policy for guests riding attractions, permitting recording but only with a glasses-based micro camera.

These are some of the first major changes made under John Reilly, who was installed as Six Flags’ new president and CEO in December 2025. Reilly replaced Richard A. Zimmerman, who led Cedar Fair prior to its 2024 merge with Six Flags. Reilly was previous CEO of other theme park companies such as Palace Entertainment and SeaWorld.
Many Six Flags parks operate on a seasonal schedule and are gearing up for their 2026 reopenings. See the full list of Six Flags parks’ opening dates in our separate coverage.
