Darth Vader popcorn buckets, sippers celebrate ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ back in movie theaters

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Obi-Wan Kenobi getting the high ground, “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” is returning to movie theaters and AMC, Regal, and Cinemark will have some Dark Side souvenirs, including a Darth Vader popcorn bucket.

On April 25, 2025, movie theaters across the U.S. will once again play Episode III of the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy on the big screen including in 4DX for the first time. (You can purchase tickets beginning April 14.)

If you’ll be watching the glow of Mustafar at an AMC location, you’ll be able to eat popcorn right out of Darth Vader’s helmet.

If this looks a bit familiar, you’re not being jedi mind tricked. Back in 2014, Disney had a similar popcorn bucket to celebrate Star Wars Weekends (seen below on the event’s guide map). If you didn’t shoot first, and missed out, now is your opportunity to get one.

If you’ll be watching the execution of Order 66 at a Regal Cinemas location, there you’ll find a ‘Revenge of the Sith’ tin popcorn bucket. There will also be a Darth Vader cup for purchase.

However, Fans looking to celebrate the dark side at a Cinemark, will also be able to get a Darth Vader helmet cup. You can even head (no pun intended) to their website now and get notified when it’s available. There you can also purchase some past movie drink and popcorn souvenirs.

If you truly want the full experience, some theaters will release “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” in 4DX for the first time. For more information on what to expect from that, check out our previous story.

Popcorn buckets are getting more and more popular, so if you want one, prepare accordingly, and may the force be with you.
