The Shanghai Daily newspaper reported today that Shanghai Disney Resort is hiring its first 100 cast members. The roles range from 3D Designer to Waterworks Plumbing Piping Engineer, and are roles for helping to develop the new resort, which opens in 2015.

While part of Storybook Circus’ soft opened earlier this week, construction is in full swing on the second half of Storybook Circus as well as other parts of the new Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Above is a view of the Casey Jr. water play area and the smaller tent in Storbook Circus.
This morning Walt Disney World opened the first phase of the New Fantasyland expansion in a soft opening of part of Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom park. The attractions that opened this morning for the first time include Barnstormer featuring The Great Goofini, one spinner of the dueling Dumbos and the Fantasyland Train Station.
The Torres family was chosen as the first family to help open the Magic Kingdom theme park and start One More Disney Day, the 24-hour Leap Day celebration in 2012. They shot this video that offers a look behind the scenes of this historic event.
The Disney Parks Blog has released a new video offering a first inside the Beauty and the Beast restaurant that’s currently under construction in the New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. The Be Our Guest restaurant will feature multiple dining rooms and will transform from counter service during the day to table service at night.
