It was a party in the park. The Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World in general turned 40 years old yesterday and many celebrations were held. There was a character parade, sing-long, speeches, and special fireworks – and don’t forget the special merchandise.
The Disney Parks Blog held their first ever “Trick of Meet-Up” last night at the Magic Kingdom. The first to respond to a blog post announcing the meet-up were selected to attend with a guest, totaling about 300 guests. In case you weren’t able to attend, here’s a rundown of the evening.
Walt Disney World will be celebrating their 40th year on Oct. 1, 2011 at the Magic Kingdom with a character parade and sing-along in the morning, 40th branded merchandise and artist signings all day, and a special edition of the Wishes fireworks at night.
