A major announcement was made by Disney Parks about the official opening date of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
With Galaxy’s Edge opening at the Disneyland Resort on May 31st, Disney really has to perfect this area before its Phase 1 opening. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will take guests into Black Spire Outpost, a bustling hive of smugglers, bounty hunters, Stormtroopers and Resistance fighters. We flew above the construction a few days ago. Let’s take an up-close look at the extreme detail that is being added to the land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Work continues non-stop on the Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, (phew, what a mouthful). We have seen the skeleton of the Millennium Falcon structure, but now outer theming elements are coming up.
Universal Orlando seems to have really picked up the pace on their upcoming Harry Potter-themed roller coaster. Trees are sprouting up everywhere and detailed theming is happening all over the construction site.
