Oktoberfest Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs review: A culinary celebration with Wolfgang Puck
For the 2024 Oktoberfest event, we visited the sometimes overlooked Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs. Read on to learn about our experience.

With over 20 table-service restaurants at Disney Springs, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill sometimes gets overlooked. Disney Springs at Walt Disney World offers plenty of talented celebrity chef restaurants. Those looking for good cuisine need not look very far at Disney Springs. Occasionally, the Chef Wolfgang Puck visits his restaurant for a special event.
A yearly tradition at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Disney Springs involves the Oktoberfest celebration. We were invited to enjoy the celebration. The event included special performances and a fun menu with Wolfgang Puck’s favorite items.

This event is very popular each year, and the tickets sell out quickly. 2024’s event was held on Oct. 16. We suggest signing up for the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill email newsletter to be the first to know when it is scheduled for 2025. Several guests at our table had participated in this event in previous years, so it’s developed repeat customers.
Oktoberfest 2024 at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

For an Oktoberfest event, this one qualifies as calm. One guest at our table joked that this was nothing like Oktoberfest when they were in Munich, Germany. Still, the food and music make an excellent venture into Oktoberfest with some Wolfgang Puck style.

What would Oktoberfest be without some traditional music? This event ran from 4 p.m. until about 6:45 p.m. The band played traditional and some non-traditional (“Sweet Caroline”) music for most of the event. We only recall about a 30-minute break by the band for the entire event. As you would expect, the music was designed to get some crowd participation at points (“Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!”). Overall, we found the music enhanced the event and did not overwhelm it.

Appetizers and small plates

The Oktoberfest menu consisted of passed appetizers, small plates, a main course selection, and desserts. The Oktoberfest event started with guests seated at tables in preparation for a family-style meal, except for the main entrée. Remember, these are supposed to be some of Chef Wolfgang Puck’s favorite food items.

The appetizers and small plates were:
- Crispy Potato Pancake with Smoked Salmon
- Shrimp Cake with Lemon and Capers
- Grilled Veal Tongue with White Bean Salad
- Blood Sausage with Sauerkraut and Apple Horseradish
- Nurnburger Bratwurst with Potato Puree and Braised Red Cabbage
- Stuffed Cabbage with Sweet and Sour Tomato Sauce
- My Grandmother’s Cheese Ravioli and Brown Butter
- Honeycrisp Fennel and Apple Salad, Spiced Marcona Almonds, Sherry Thyme Vinaigrette
As you would expect, each item displayed Chef Wolfgang Puck’s style. Some items, with slight modifications, are on the current menu at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Disney Springs, while others were unique to this dining adventure. The choice and amount of food failed to be an issue during this event. No one left hungry. The shrimp cake, cheese ravioli, and stuffed cabbage stood out as our group’s preferred options for appetizers and small plates.

The server took orders for each guest’s main entrée during this appetizer and small plates portion. Unlike the earlier mentioned items shared at the table, each guest could pick one main entrée.
Main entrées

The Wolfgang Puck Oktoberfest menu listed four choices regarding main entrées. They were:
- Crispy Pork Belly with Salsa Verde
- Traditional Wienerschnitzel with Lingonberry and Mixed Salad
- Whole Grilled Sea Bass with Fresh Herbs
- Beef Goulash with Spätzle

We selected the pork belly entrée and the wienerschnitzel. Both were prepared very well. Each exhibited the robust flavor that one would expect from these at a table service restaurant. In addition, both served as excellent Oktoberfest-style entrees.
Desserts served family-style

The meal concluded with dessert. Our table received large portions of three desserts, but sadly, we could not finish them. Still, we wanted to do so.

The desserts listed on the menu were:
- Apple Strudel with Whipped Cream
- Kaiserschmarren with Warm Strawberry Compote
- Black Forest Cake

Each was delicious. The Kaiserschmarren impressed our group the most. Since we had previously enjoyed the cake and strudel versions at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, it surprised us that we liked it so much. Kaiserschmarren is best described as a scramble pancake. As Plated Cravings writes, “At the Oktoberfest (or Wiesn like it’s called in Munich), it is probably the most served dessert, but there’s also a tent named after the famous Bavarian pancake dessert, the Café Kaiserschmarrn.” Our table approved of this Oktoberfest sweet treat.
Meet Chef Wolfgang Puck

As the evening went on, Chef Wolfgang Puck greeted guests during Oktoberfest at their tables and signed books available for purchase. Based on our experiences with the chef, he has always appeared genuine. When he entered the dining area from the kitchen, he seemed to remember guests who frequented the restaurant during his visits.
This event should return next year. Everyone at our table enjoyed the experience at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. If this sounds like something you might want to attend, prepare for Oktoberfest next year and expect an evening of fun, food, music, and meeting Wolfgang Puck.
