ArieForce One has been sold — but where is the RMC coaster going?
ArieForce One has officially been sold, but its next destination remains a mystery. Fun Spot America confirmed Thursday, Sept. 3, that the acclaimed Rocky Mountain Construction roller coaster has been sold following the Aug. 2 closure of Fun Spot America Atlanta.
The company revealed the news in a social media video featuring Fun Spot America CEO John Arie Jr. holding an ArieForce One-branded shovel. “ArieForce One has SOLD!!!” appears on screen before Fun Spot turns the question over to coaster fans: “Drop your guesses.”
Before Thursday’s confirmation, Fun Spot America CEO John Arie Jr. had already discussed efforts to find ArieForce One a new home. Fun Spot has not identified the buyer, disclosed the sale price or announced where ArieForce One will be rebuilt. That hasn’t stopped fans from trying to figure it out.

Where could ArieForce One be going?
The guesses began almost immediately, ranging from developing amusement parks to established regional destinations across the United States and even Europe.
Cotaland was among the first names to surface in comments on Fun Spot’s announcement. The developing amusement park at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, has a collection of major thrill rides, making it an understandable candidate for coaster enthusiasts to consider.
Other guesses include Wild Adventures, which would keep the coaster in Georgia. Multiple commenters mentioned the park, with one writing that keeping ArieForce One in the state “would be a win.”
Six Flags Great Adventure was another repeated suggestion.
Dorney Park, Kings Island, Michigan’s Adventure and Worlds of Fun have also entered the conversation. One commenter mentioned Dorney Park, SeaWorld and Kings Island among destinations they had heard discussed, while another specifically hoped for Michigan’s Adventure.
Another particularly interesting guess is Six Flags St. Louis, which is preparing for a new chapter under new ownership and a new name, Mid America Adventure. ArieForce One had already been floated by coaster enthusiasts as a potential addition there before Thursday’s sale announcement.
Fans keep pointing to the new Enchanted Parks portfolio
Several of the destinations being floated by fans have something in common: they are part of the new Enchanted Parks portfolio. Michigan’s Adventure, Worlds of Fun and Mid America Adventure — the former Six Flags St. Louis — have all surfaced in the speculation, while one commenter simply guessed “one of the Enchanted Parks.”
Enchanted Parks is also based in the Orlando area, the same destination where Fun Spot’s two remaining parks are located.
However, none of these parks has been confirmed as the buyer.
What we know — and what we don’t
Thursday’s announcement resolves the biggest question that remained after Fun Spot America Atlanta closed: ArieForce One will have another owner.
