Former Fun Spot Atlanta rides coming to Orlando, Kissimmee; coaster teased

Fun Spot America is bringing several rides from its former Atlanta park home to Central Florida, but the smaller attractions may not be the only additions ahead for Orlando and Kissimmee.

In a new video shared by Fun Spot America, CEO John Arie Jr. revealed that several attractions from the now-closed Fun Spot America Atlanta are being relocated to the company’s two remaining parks in Orlando and Kissimmee.

Fun Spot Atlanta rides coming to Florida

According to Arie, the Tilt-A-Whirl from Atlanta is headed to Fun Spot America Kissimmee.

Meanwhile, Screaming Eagles and Frog Hopper from Atlanta are being brought to Fun Spot America Orlando.

The moves continue the process of determining what happens to Fun Spot Atlanta’s attractions following the Georgia park’s closure. While some equipment is leaving the company, these three rides will remain part of the Fun Spot family in Florida.

Could another RMC coaster come to Fun Spot?

The conversation then turned toward something considerably larger. Arie teased the possibility of another roller coaster coming to either Fun Spot Orlando or Fun Spot Kissimmee in the future, with Rocky Mountain Construction specifically entering the conversation.

RMC has a notable history with Fun Spot. The manufacturer built ArieForce One, the approximately $13 million coaster that opened at Fun Spot Atlanta in 2023. Following the Atlanta park’s closure, Fun Spot sold ArieForce One to Six Flags, which plans to relocate the coaster to one of its parks.

RMC has also worked on Mine Blower at Fun Spot Kissimmee. The wooden coaster received sections of the manufacturer’s 208 ReTraK during a major track refurbishment.

For now, three Atlanta rides have their Florida destinations, but Arie’s coaster tease gives Fun Spot fans one more reason to keep their eyes on the horizon.
