Bluey at Disney: comparing every experience from land to sea—which one is best?
Disney’s Bluey experiences give families the chance to meet, dance, play, and interact with Bluey and Bingo across multiple destinations. From “Bluey’s Wild World” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to “Bluey’s Best Day Ever” at Disneyland and character experiences aboard Disney Cruise Line, we compared each offering to help determine which experience comes out on top.

After experiencing Disney’s Bluey offerings from land to sea, we compared each based on interaction, ease of access, themed extras, and overall value for families. While one destination ultimately stood out, each had strengths that made it special.
What makes a great Bluey experience?
To compare Disney’s three Bluey experiences fairly, we looked at what families are most likely to value. How well does it represent the television show? How much interaction do guests have with Bluey and Bingo? How easy is the experience to navigate?
Here’s how each destination stacked up.
Disneyland Resort: Best overall Bluey experience
If you’re looking for the most complete Bluey experience Disney currently offers, Disneyland Resort comes out on top.
What makes ‘Bluey’s Best Day Ever’ stand apart is that it feels less like a scheduled activity and more like Bluey has taken over an entire corner of the park. The experience unfolds continuously throughout the day, encouraging families to stop, play, dance, and interact whenever they happen upon the fun. Jeff DePaoli, longtime contributor to Attractions Magazine, spoke with Disneyland representatives about ‘Bluey’s Best Day Ever.’
“We really wanted families to get up and play together, just like Bluey and Bingo do on the show,” the Disneyland representative shared, and it seems like mission accomplished.
Bluey and Bingo actively engage with guests, creating moments that feel spontaneous and personal. The experience extends beyond the entertainment itself through themed food and beverage offerings, merchandise, interactive elements, and Bluey-themed Magic Shots.
That doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Disneyland still comes with the realities of a busy theme park, including crowds and the potential for longer waits. But if you’re choosing one destination specifically for a Bluey-loving child, this is the experience we’d recommend first.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Best educational value
Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers the largest overall Bluey environment, blending imaginative play with the park’s conservation-focused mission.
Located at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, ‘Bluey’s Wild World‘ encourages kids to get moving through games and activities inspired by the series. It also incorporates educational messaging that feels uniquely suited to Animal Kingdom.

The biggest drawback is the journey required to get there. Depending on crowd levels, families may find themselves navigating multiple queues before the experience even begins: boarding the Wildlife Express Train, entering the Conservation Station building, and then waiting again to participate in the interactive games and shows.
Once inside, Bluey and Bingo’s interactions take place in a relatively compact section of the overall environment. Food and beverage offerings also feel more limited compared with Disneyland.
Still, families looking for active play with an educational twist may find Animal Kingdom’s version to be the best fit.
Disney Cruise Line: Best for convenience
For families seeking the easiest Bluey experience, Disney Cruise Line is difficult to beat.
Instead of building your day around lengthy waits, guests typically only need to arrive about ten minutes before showtime. There are no theme park crowds to navigate, no standing in the Florida heat, and no racing across a park to secure a spot.
The cruise experience also offers variety. Families can participate in both the nighttime Pyjama Party and the morning Wakey Wakey gathering with Bluey and Bingo. Surprisingly, we found Wakey Wakey to be significantly less crowded than Pyjama Party, despite the evening event taking place at 9:45 p.m.

There are some differences depending on which ship you’re sailing. Aboard the Disney Wish, Bluey and Bingo perform on the same level as the audience, helping the experience feel more intimate. On the Disney Dream, the venue is smaller and features a more traditional elevated stage.
The biggest downside is the lack of direct interaction. Unlike Disneyland and Animal Kingdom, Bluey and Bingo remain within their designated performance space and don’t move through the crowd.

But being on a Disney cruise ship means shorter waits, scheduled opportunities that are easy to plan around, and multiple touchpoints throughout the voyage instead of one large immersive environment.
“The creative team decides how we can deliver those stories, what’s the right atmosphere,” Disney Cruise Line Cruise Director Kara said. “Then we actually go live and launch the product and see the reaction from the guests, which has been very, very strong.”
That process is evident in the final product. Disney Cruise Line focuses on accessibility. Families can enjoy the morning Wakey Wakey gathering, stay up for the Pyjama Party, participate in activities like scavenger hunts on select sailings, and still fit everything else they want to experience into their vacation.

The combination of comfort, convenience, and multiple opportunities to see the characters makes Disney Cruise Line an appealing option.
One thing every Bluey experience gets right
One pleasant surprise across all three destinations was the inclusion of Bluey-themed Magic Shots. Whether at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, or aboard Disney Cruise Line, these photo opportunities offered a fun way to bring Bluey and Bingo into our vacation memories.
We found they worked best with smaller groups. While our entire travel party proved a bit too large for the effect to shine, the Magic Shots turned out especially well when featuring just the kids.

Which Bluey experience comes out on top?
Disneyland Resort ultimately earns the top spot thanks to its immersive environment, continuous entertainment, interactive elements, and variety of themed offerings. More than any other destination, it feels like stepping directly into Bluey’s world.
That said, there isn’t a wrong choice.

Families prioritizing educational play may prefer Disney’s Animal Kingdom, while those looking for the easiest, most stress-free experience may find Disney Cruise Line impossible to beat.
The good news for Bluey fans is that Disney hasn’t simply copied the same formula across its destinations. Each experience captures a different aspect of what makes Bluey so beloved: imaginative play, family connection, and finding joy in everyday moments.
