On a visit to Busch Gardens Tampa today, basketball superstar Shaquille O’Neal fed giraffes on a Serengeti Safari experience and playfully encountered a pair of African elephants.
For several weeks now, guests entering Busch Gardens Tampa Bay have been met with construction walls in the southeastern corner of the park, and many have speculated as to what is coming. From what we know so far, it’ll allow you to “feel the spirit, feel the speed”.
We previously told you about this year’s rock theme for Busch Gardens’ scary Howl-O-Scream Halloween event. Since then officials have been releasing more clues via the HOSInsider Twitter account and Facebook account. Now the band behind the theme has been announced.
By Audrey Brown This month’s Retro Orlando is a bit more broad than usual. I typically try to take a look back at rides I can remember with perfect clarity, detail for detail. But I stumbled across some old vacation pictures that got me thinking about Busch Gardens.
Dozens of winners, heroes and villains from TV’s Survivor, Big Brother and The Amazing Race got together at Discovery Cove this past Saturday for a day of outwitting, outplaying, outlasting and outrelaxing. The players swam with dolphins and rays and got up-close to the park’s exotic animals.
I headed into SeaWorld last night to check out their AfterDark events and see what else was new. I just had to take the above shot. It’s one of the best photos spots in Orlando.

Many of Orlando’s theme parks have announced their fireworks shows for July 4, 2010. It’s one of the busiest days of the year for the theme parks so be prepared to join a crowd.
Not many details are revealed but Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has updated their Howl-O-Scream Web site for 2010’s event. From the graphics on the site (seen above), it appears this year’s theme will be one of going to a rock concert. It lists it as one of the “most electrifying” ever. One can only assume…
