These Disney Halloween costumes for 2026 range from adorable to downright bizarre

With so many fun Halloween events in Orlando and across the country, you’ve just got to put on an impressive costume to make the most of the event.

Now that abandoned storefronts everywhere are beginning to see the arrival of America’s favorite Halloween store: Spirit Halloween, we’ve picked out the cutest, coolest, and strangest Disney Halloween costumes for kids and adults.

The cutest

Starting off strong with a costume resembling the disguise Boo wears in the monster world during “Monsters Inc.” Already adorable on-screen, translating that same cuteness to real life in Halloween costume form. And perfect for any families who can’t wait to stroll through Monstropolis itself, coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

While I’m not the most familiar with SuperKitties, there’s no denying this costume of Ginny is one of the most precious out of the collection of character costumes from the show.

Your little one can be the rootinest, tootinest, cowboy in the wild, wild west this Halloween! While not accurate to his look in Toy Story 5, this Woody costume is sure to be a hit if your kiddo loved this summer’s entry in the iconic franchise.

“I can’t believe it… I’m a Halloween costume”! Mike Wazowski is a pretty hard costume to pull off (trust me, I’ve tried), but this toddler’s costume is perfect for aspiring scarers who want to dress up as their favorite monster!

The coolest

There’s not even a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday yet, but there’s no doubt you’ll see plenty of dads handing out candy as Doctor Doom this year with this menacingly cool costume. It’s pretty simple, but the mask alone has so much aura!

During the Marvel Panel at Comic-Con 2024, Robert Downey Jr. shocked the world as he was announced to play Doctor Doom in “Avengers: Doomsday,”; see our YouTube video below.

Spider-Man is a pretty safe choice for a cool costume, but take it a step further and go as Venom with this awesome costume. The tongue sticking out of the mask is so gnarly that it had to make an appearance here.

Too soon for Christmas, but not quite Halloween… Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws is a perfect transitional costume for those who start celebrating Christmas on November 1st at 12:00 a.m.

Is this Sally Slater costume actually on the coolest list or is it your imagination? An original Disney Parks character becoming iconic enough to become a Halloween costume is quite the feat.

Ghost-Spider is the coolest of the bunch in “Spidey and His Amazing Friends”, and this costume is no exception! I’ve always thought this suit, in any iteration of Gwen Stacy’s alter ego, was the coolest spider suit ever.

If you see this bounty hunter coming after you, you better run. This Mandalorian might be wearing sandals, but he means business. Worth noting this one is from ShopDisney.

The strangest

You might think this is a Jabba the Hutt, but it’s not. This is Rotta the Hutt from the movie “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” He’s his own man, nothing like his father. Now he’s his own Halloween costume too!

In a store that sells fake severed body parts and has animatronic ghouls jumping at you, this is the most utterly horrifying thing I have ever seen come out of Spirit Halloween. Sulley, this isn’t you. Don’t you remember that laughter is 10x more powerful than screams? I’m not laughing.

Just absolutely ridiculous. Any inflatable costume is sure to deliver some laughs, but if a child comes to my house wearing this, they can take the rest of the candy I have to give out. Instant way to win Halloween. Don Rickles is smiling down on this.
