D23 is Disney’s official fan club, and they’re holding their third expo starting this Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 and running through Sunday at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. It will be three days of announcements, presentations, and fan fun. We’re there now bringing you first-hand reports.

The Hilton Orlando recently invited us to take a tour of Lake Meadow Naturals farm in nearby Ocoee, Fla. The reason for the visit? To put their money where their mouth is. It’s easy for a restaurant to say their food is farm fresh. It’s another to actually prove it.

New areas of The Simpsons’ Springfield expansion now open at Universal Studios Florida
The town of Springfield has even more of a presence at Universal Orlando today as new eateries, a gift shop, waterside seating and more are now open. Universal Studios park guests can visit Lard Lad doughnuts, Duff Brewery, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck and meet some of the citizens of Springfield.
