To commemorate the third anniversary of its closure, a classic Disney Parks attraction makes a magical return in a different way with “The Great Movie Ride: Quarantine Edition.”

Hundreds of former cast members from the attraction teamed up to virtually recreate the ride in its entirety, offering both the “gangster” and “bandit” ride tracks.
This virtual experience sends viewers on a journey that starts right outside the doors of the Chinese Theatre at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and ends with an exact reenactment of the final montage.
This video release also serves as the kick-off for the new Once a Movie Rider YouTube channel, where Disney Parks fans can enjoy past and future Movie Rider-generated content.
You can check out both versions of “The Great Movie Ride: Quarantine Edition” below:

I was having a really frustrating day and came across your project. Thank you for making me laugh and remember just how much I loved this ride.
This was such an amazing project to be a part of during quarantine… a love letter to such an amazing ride/experience. I was only briefly in for the Freddy Krueger and the Lassie hug in the finale montage with my dog Voorhees but I am so honored to even be a part of it. All the love to Kellie and Mark. Once a movie rider!
