Today was the opening day for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Crowds were lined up early this morning to get their exclusive merchandise and Fastpasses to meet the visiting celebrities. The Disney Parks Blog recently posted the above photo of Jedi Mickey and his new droid, R2-MK. I guess MK stands for Magic Kingdom, but that’s not where you’ll find this Star Wars duo. They’ll be making appearances during Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which begin this Friday, May 21, 2010.
Disney acquired the Power Rangers back in 2001, and now they’ve sold them back to the original owner, Haim Saban. The show has now been licensed to Nickelodeon, and new episodes will debut in the first quarter of 2011. The Nicktoons channel will also begin running reruns of the show.
