Level99 Disney Springs: Opening date, games, dining, and ticket details

The building that once housed NBA Experience and DisneyQuest is preparing for its next chapter. Level99, an interactive gaming venue featuring team-based physical and mental challenges, will open June 29, 2026, at Disney Springs.

Level99 announced its plans on Feb. 19, 2025. Disney revealed an opening date of June 29, with less than two weeks to go on June 16, 2026.

The Walt Disney World location near Orlando, Fla., will be Level99’s fifth venue since launching in 2021, and its biggest, at 46,800 square feet (nearly the same as NBA Experience’s 44,000 square feet). Level99 at Disney Springs will host 60 challenges, as well as a two-story bar.

Its opening comes as Disney makes a major change to Disney Springs transportation, requiring confirmed reservations at the specific resort to which guests wish to travel.

Level99 describes itself as “a first-of-its-kind destination for real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment for adults featuring over 50 physical and mental challenges set in artistic environments.” Activities range from team challenges of 2-6 players to 1-on-1 duels.

Level99 locations already exist in Natick, Mass., and Providence, R.I., Tysons, Va. (near Arlington), and West Hartford, Conn.

“We see immense potential in what the Level99 team has built and are excited to bring the future of interactive entertainment and social gaming into the mainstream,” said Ron Shaich, CEO and Managing Partner of Act III Holdings, an investment company funding Level99’s plans, in February 2025.

Once inside you will use an RFID-powered Veloband to access 63 experiences throughout the venue, choosing your own path. Challenges typically last one to four minutes and can be repeated as many times as players choose during their session, with progress saved for future visits to any Level99 location.

The experiences range from tests of agility and balance to logic puzzles and team-based problem-solving. Signature games at the Disney Springs location include Axe Run, where players race across a narrow beam while avoiding swinging obstacles; Ninja Swing, which tasks groups with navigating a series of suspended platforms using ropes; and Mansion Banquet, a puzzle challenge centered on matching dinner guests with the correct seats, meals, and drinks before time runs out.

Throughout the venue, players can also compete in head-to-head duels and participate in an interactive art scavenger hunt.

RIP DisneyQuest

After being in development for over five years, the NBA Experience opened at Disney Springs in 2019, operated for less than seven months, closed due to the pandemic, and never reopened. Prior to NBA, the real estate belonged to the DisneyQuest interactive gaming attraction (though the DisneyQuest building was completely demolished to build the NBA facility).

The former NBA building has since become something of an unintentional flex space for temporary tenants, such as a “Star Wars” VR attraction in 2022 and a temporary pop-up store selling “Fantasia” apparel developed by Harry Styles’ brand, Pleasing, in late 2024.
