By Banks Lee Halloween Horror Nights 23 is now underway at Universal Studios Florida. Here are my thoughts of each house and show, as well as this year’s street experience.
For the first time in Halloween Horror Nights history, one theme will be taking over the entire street experience at Universal Studios Florida. With only a few days before the event begins, sets and props from the first three seasons of The Walking Dead have appeared. Here’s a photo tour of what to expect.
Universal Orlando has finally revealed their full lineup of houses and scarezones for Halloween Horror Nights 23, which includes 8 houses, 5 scarezones, and 2 shows.
Key pieces of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion have arrived at Universal Orlando. The Hogwarts Express, which will take guests between the current Hogsmeade area in Islands of Adventure and the new Diagon Alley expansion in Universal Studios, have been spotted in a backstage area.
In partnership with the film’s writer and director, John Landis, Universal Orlando’s Entertainment team plans to create a disturbingly-real haunted house experience that pays homage to one of the best lycanthropic stories ever told, “An American Werewolf in London.”
Universal Orlando Resort and Warner Bros. have announced that they will host a special event that will celebrate Harry Potter’s adventures, “A Celebration of Harry Potter.”
The final piece of the Simpsons Springfield expansion has opened to “foolish humans”, adding a new ride to the expanded area.
The town of Springfield has even more of a presence at Universal Orlando today as new eateries, a gift shop, waterside seating and more are now open. Universal Studios park guests can visit Lard Lad doughnuts, Duff Brewery, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck and meet some of the citizens of Springfield.
For the first time in Halloween Horror Nights history, a common theme will take over every scare zone in the theme park. Watch out for Walkers AKA zombies, and those fighting them as “The Walking Dead” returns to Universal Studios.
Even if you haven’t had a chance to see the first “Despicable Me” movie, you’ll love “Despicable Me 2”. The movie makers took the characters fans loved the most in the first movie and gave them even more screen time.
