Hold on to your hats and glasses because an extensive roster of new roller coasters is coming to U.S. theme parks in 2024.
The new coasters range from high-thrill to family-friendly and are located all across the U.S., from California to Orlando – and everywhere in between.
New Roller Coasters Coming to Six Flags Parks in 2024
The Bobcat at Six Flags Great Escape – The wooden Bobcat roller coaster will travel almost 40 miles per hour.
The Flash: Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great Adventure – The boomerang coaster will take riders forward and backward at nearly 60 miles per hour.
Unnamed Water-Themed Roller Coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia – The yet-to-be-named water-themed coaster will combine elements of a “splash coaster” and an “ultra-surf coaster.”
New Roller Coasters Coming to SeaWorld Parks in 2024
Catapult Falls at SeaWorld San Antonio (Spring 2024) – The world’s first launched flume coaster will feature North America’s only vertical lift and the world’s steepest drop in a flume ride.
Penguin Trek at SeaWorld Orlando – The family launch coaster will feature snowmobile-style vehicles where riders embark on a penguin research mission through Antarctica.
The Loch Ness Monster: The Legend Lives On at Busch Gardens Williamsburg – The reimagined Loch Ness Monster coaster will feature an enhanced queue experience, an all-new soundtrack, innovative effects, and over 900 feet of all-new track.
Phoenix Rising at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (Spring 2024) – The suspended swinging family roller coaster (Busch Gardens’ first coaster to feature on-board audio) will travel up to 44 miles per hour along a track above the Serengeti Plain.
New Roller Coasters Coming to Cedar Fair Parks in 2024
Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Point – The former Top Thrill Dragster will be the world’s tallest and fastest triple-launch strata roller coaster, plus the world’s first and only dual-tower vertical speedway featuring two 420-foot-tall track towers.
Iron Menace at Dorney Park – The dive coaster will feature a top speed of 64 miles per hour, a 152-foot “beyond vertical” 95-degree drop, and four inversions.
Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers at Kings Island – The park’s first family boomerang coaster will be in an expanded Camp Snoopy kids’ area.
Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster at Knott’s Berry Farm (Memorial Day 2024) – The family-friendly launch coaster will be in a reimagined Camp Snoopy kids’ area.
More New Roller Coasters Coming in 2024
Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster at Peppa Pig Theme Park in Texas – The clone of the Orlando park‘s coaster takes riders on an unexpected adventure when Mr. Bull’s “roadwork” sends them on a curvy shortcut.
Fire in the Hole at Silver Dollar City – The updated version of the historic indoor coaster will include three drops, a splash landing, a custom soundtrack, lighting effects, and enhanced special effects.
Good Gravy at Holiday World (May 2024) – The Thanksgiving-themed coaster will reach a maximum speed of 37 miles per hour as they race through nearly 1,500 feet of track (and then repeat the journey backward).
Hot Wheels Bone Shaker: The Ultimate Ride at Mattel Adventure Park – The family coaster featuring Hot Wheels’ famous hot rod’s skull design will climb 84 feet in the air and dive into a double helix.
Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer at Mattel Adventure Park – The second Hot Wheels-themed coaster at the all-new Arizona park will feature a double loop and two corkscrews.
Midnight Flyer at Santa’s Village – The Midnight Flyer will give riders the feel of flying with reindeer, just like Santa.
