A classic car show with a modern twist and turn, Car Masters Weekend is back for its second year at Downtown Disney, June 2-3, 2012. The free, two-day event is devoted to everything Cars and features a car show presented by Hess Express, meet and greets with Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile.
It’s a good time to be a fangirl of the Star Wars saga as Her Universe, the female sci-fi line of fashionable apparel and accessories, is debuting its new spring and summer line at Star Wars Weekends 2012 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Spooky Empire’s annual May-Hem horror convention is returning next weekend to Orlando. It will take place from May 25 through 27, 2012. New to May-Hem will be a zombie Walk in honor of actor Bill Hinzman, who recently passed away.
Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf and Jungle Golf in the Orlando area are hosting the Sixth Annual “Putting for Patriots” fundraiser through Monday, May 28.
Universal Orlando Resort recently unveiled more performers that will take the stage at the 2012 Summer Concert Series. Every Saturday night beginning June 9 through July 14, Universal Studio Florida will host their Summer Concert Series featuring a star-studded lineup.
This weekend, Star Wars Weekends 2012 will kick off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As they do each year, Disney released some promotional images that combine both Walt Disney World and Star Wars elements, plus some very funny videos taking a look “behind the scenes”.
Debuting at this years Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will have the opportunity to relive the famous carbon freezing scene from The Empire Strikes Back with “Carbon-Freeze Me”. This new retail experience was created especially for Disney Parks.
Last Friday night, April 27, 2012, Busch Gardens Tampa kicked off their first ever 12th grade Grad Nite. The event featured performances by pop rock band Cobra Starship and comedian Gabriel Inglesias, DJ’s throughout the streets, riding coasters at night and more.
As part of National Volunteer Week, Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) celebrated a monumental achievement last week — two million volunteer hours completed in one single location. They honored the more than 50,000 American and international volunteer “Angels” who helped the organization reach this milestone.
